Non gear related question for the bros who have competed. Hair Removal? Contest Tanning oils? What do people use and what works well?

Hair removal: razor. Do it a month to two months before show. Don't wait till the last week.

Tanning: Differentiate between getting tan for the show (in a tanning booth) vs. contest dye. Check out the jan tana site, I think that is a popular one.

Cant beat the Mach 3 for hair removal, make sure you start shaving at least a month out then do it once a week.Dont shave the night before your contest,i did this once, made me look really puffy! I like Dream Tan,as you can just apply it on the morning of the show.

I use an eletric barber's shaver to get down to about 1/8" in length, then I do shaving cream & razor to finish the job.
ProTan seems a popular choice, but you may still want to use a tanning bed to help get rid of some water.

Yeah, to be clear here: if you are a white guy, you NEED to get tan in a tanning both AND use comp dye.

I'm white, I tan all year round but not that often, 3 times a month just so I am not as white as my Polish ass would be and believe me it gets pretty white. Thanks Bros....I can't believe I am going to shave my legs!

In the offseason and leading up to the show I always use a womens' electric razor; this is great if you have a lot of body hair, sensitive skin, or get ingrown hairs, it gets real close but does not get below the skin, I always shave my arms with a Mach 3 and my whole body the night/day before a show.

You should for sure tan at least a month out to where you get as dark from that as you can. You will also NEED comp color, I suggest Dream Tan (I like the brown/bronze formula), I have used Pro Tan and JanTana as well but don't like how they stain your skin for a long time and dry it out as well. If you got questions PM me...

um....I was thinking..and no it didn't hurt. Do you guys have people help you shave? I mean I have to use a long shower brush to reach most spots on my back...how do you use a razor on all thos places you can't see.

How can a sport ooozing muscularity and manliness be so gay that the contestants have to fake tan and shave their entire bodies then walk out on stage wearing a banana hamick
