I think that the point was to stop wasting money for people's decisions in life. If you choose to eat poorly, then I don't really want to fund anti-obesity drugs for you. If you choose to fuck randomly and without using protection, then I don't want to pay for your mistake.

People get all pissed though if you try to force fast food joints to reduce saturated fats, or even publish nutritional information about their products! Its un American, give people their choice!

...but we won't regulate the food that is sold, oh wait, we DO regulate food, we just don't regulate the nutritional value of it, just food born disease and the like.

How about the poor babies who are BORN with AIDS? Fuck them, too, right?

And, do you know how many people die of heart disease, cancer, strokes or lung disease? That would cover a majority of the population. I see, though, fuck everyone who doesn't live just like you and eat exactly what you eat? I like pie! Fuck me, right? I deserve to die of heart disease because I take pleasure in baking for myself and my loved ones? Gosh, I'm a monster!

Also, people are people no matter where they are from. Kids in Africa don't deserve to die of AIDS any more than kids in America.

Yes, there are some cases of AIDS that are not based on people's decisions. Those cases should get funded.

The cases that aren't and were caused by choice should not.

There are cases when a person is morbidly obese because they were born that way. There are other cases where a person choose to live that way (because of their diet and exercise or lack thereof).

Again, the funding priority is for the ones who did not have a choice.
