Apparently concorde had its last official flight today. It is too costly to justify its own existence (£8000 per transatlantic flight at one point). They would have had to sell several hundred just to justify the development costs........only 20 were sold. Ouch!!

Shit I remember finding out about that........was at uni in Wales.........lying in bed. Fell asleep with the TV on and woke up to that. Rolled over and went back to sleep.

I just didnt get it........sure it was tragic (as is any death).......but she was a schemer.

Yea, she went on a few holidays to countries and went and looked at some kids in hospital and suddenly she's a saint. She basicaly was the end of any faith in the royal family in this country.

Funny story about her death. I was watching the begining of SNL when she died and thought that the newscast was just another skit. It was only when I realized that the thing carried for over an 1/2 hour did I finally realize that it was the real thing...

as for concorde, its the biggest scam BA has ever pulled off. the plane cost the tax payer millions. it was sold to BA for a pound, essentially robbing the people of money they deserved.it was incredibly polluting. no-one could afford to fly the damn thing and only 20 were ever built. it may have been a feat of engineering but a) the russians build konkordski before hand and b) it was 1st class prices for 3rd class seats

as for Di, everyone went mental over her....no idea why. Charles is probably the best royal we;ve had in recent memory yet people villify him....why? because Di went on TV, put on some sad looking make up and cried. like a womans never tried that one before. and landmines....what fucking sense does it make to have a 1st world country ban them when its the 3rd world ones using them! at least she cared for her sons and did charity work rather than booze but she had her affairs just like past royals. i just wonder who harry was fathered by....

I think it was in the region of 3million a year just on his personal staff, he does stuff like take a dozen chefs with him wherever he goes, makes j-lo seem quite low maintenance.
