Which Efer knows the most about them? We all have a special skill. Which one of us knows the most about computers?

Actually, no issue. Just thinking about learning more. Thought I might take on a new hobby. :)
 
I am good with both hardware and software. I could stand to learn a bit more but I think for someone who has never taken classes etc I am good at tearing a comp apart and putting it back together again.

it is actually quite easy, so many good resources on the net. You need to learn about grounding and static, things like that also.

I can't really do much at all. I think I'm gonna start screwing around with it. Something new to master. I always get really curious when I hear ppl talking computer talk. My first boyfriend was a really good hacker. It was WAY hawt....in a geek way, I guess. :rolleyes:

Yeah but before you go messing shit up watch yourself. Don't wanna go messing with the registry values and screwing your own computer.
Software is the best place to start then a little basic hardware stuff. I did it all by just spending days on end screwing around with things and then I got involved in changing the values so I can control my computer and it's settings. It is all pretty simple on some levels.

Build your first PC. If you can get it running right you'll be hooked.
 
much of my knowledge comes from surfing porn and manipulating porn files
clearing history
installing codecs
handling malicious sites and what they can do to your box
etc. etc.

I've been in IT for ten years. I don't call myself an expert but then, people who do usually aren't.
