Computer savvy..need help

Lately, I am having a hard time surfing the web as my browser freezes on me many times and I have to hit ctr+alt+del in order to unfreeze my window.

I am using IE and I have a DSL conection.

WTF, should I do?

I'm betting you have too many programs running in the background but that's just a guess. Plus I'd run Ad-aware to see if any spyware was running and an up to date anti-virus just to be safe.

Try clearing out your cache, temp internet files, and history on IE. Then run a defrag on your hard drive(s). Get a clean start. You can also increase your cache size on IE so that previously viewed pages will load faster. You might want to run anti-v software...we had a trojan horse that slowed us down big time. Good luck!
