I do alot of graphic art on my hp at home.My computer got really fucking slow beacause of all the space the files take.Since then I've taken all the useless shit off my computer, but the fuck is slow as hell.I had more ram put in(512),but the shitter just takes god damn forever to load,or do anything.Do I need a new proccessor,or what the hell does it need for speed???

defragment your harddrive. close ALL running programs. start menu > accessories > system tools > disk defragmenter. best to wait for when you sleep and let it run then, 'cause it can take a while.

It's also a good idea to format and reinstall everything every once in a while. Good way to really clean up your computer and keep it running its best. My bet is you also have a ton of useless registry keys that are slowing down your comp too. A good program like Ontrack's Fix It Utilities is a great way to keep your comp in shape. It defrags, cleans, has a virus scanner etc. and works a hell of a lot better than all the other crap out there.

Just curious how fast is your processor? And what version of windows are you using? If are using 98 or ME you'll notice a significant improve upgrading to XP or even 2000.
