What does Local Area Connection 2 -Cable unplugged mean? I keep getting this message and my damn computer doesn't work half the time. The so called experts at SWB can't figure it out and I've spent too much time on the phone with them. All my connections look good. I have a 2wire portal that connects 2 computers to the same internet service. This is very f....ing frustrating. I'll be moving in a week, so if problem is not solved by then, it won't matter anyway.

Are you running through a router? Reboot it if so. Is your internet working properly? Because that message should only come up when connectionw as lost or you were getting serious packet loss.

Just a guess here, but how about you try plugging in your #2 local area connection cable.
