Computer Jpeg Question

For some reason, when I click on a photo link or web link in a thread, all I get is the little blue minimize/maximize box in the corner of the screen. I then click on maximize, and then the photo or link opens... Before, I could open a link with one click. Any reason this could have started? Thanks.

Do you have the show pictures box checked?

Thanks, but I've still got Windows 98, and yes, the show pictures is checked. It's not really a problem, just wondering why it's doing this all of a sudden (and I liked it better like it was...).
