Computer Guru's....help!

Can anyone tell me how I can remove all traces of website that have been visited from my computer. Is there a setting, or some free software I can download to do this. Apparently there is a certain someone that likes to see what people do online, not that it is punishable or anything, just for their pleasure. As I visit this site and other anabolic sites often, I don't want my interest in A/S know to certain people ( you know how some are! ) The other option is to smack him in the head!!!

Thanks.

yes
go into the tools menu in internet explorer then go to options
then click delete internet files and cookies, and click clear history. Problem solved :)

there are also programs that will do it for you, such as windowwasher, check www.downloads.com for them

that won't clear your cookies, unfortunately. You'll have to do that manually by finding the cookies folder on your HD.

You need a guru to remove your cookies and offline content?

Heh. rtfm.

How are they checking which sites you visit? Are they checking your computer or monitoring you from the network?

Actually, everything that has been posted will not get rid of all traces of sites.

You need to get a program like Evidence Eliminator. You can download it and use as a trail for 30 days for free.

Thanks Guys ! I am not sure how he is checking. We are on a network. How do people check what you are doning on the network? Anyhow I don't think it is much of a big deal . I will just make sure I clear history, cookies and stuff every night!

Thanks.

ROB.

If the person has the right permissions on the network they can monitor anything that comes out of your computer. Content scanners are regularly employed at companies to prevent users from wasting company time browsing for goat porn.

also go to internet options and click on "Content" then go to "AutoComplete.."click on that tab and then click on clear forms.

Well, if that's all you want cleared there is a program called Window Washer you should try. If you want to rid your PC of all traces then go with Evidence Eliminator.

How do you connect to the net at work? Is it a dial-up connection or does it go thru that LAN?

If it goes thru the LAN, then clearing your history is a waste, most likely there is a firewall in place, and it is tracking every URL you visit!

Evidence Eliminator will take care of anything of that nature for the most part. There is a way to still get that information through DOS but unless its the FBI or some major hacker I wouldn't worry about it.
