I went with the Office Max model that has three separate levers on the side. Not bad for the price. I had one from Ikea that I thought was going to be great, a professional drafting stool, but after a couple of hours it feels like I've been sitting on a rock.

Office Max has some sort of rating system regarding how many hours different models are good for; sounded like BS but apparently there's something to it.

Mine cost like $35 dollars at Best Buys. I spend WAY too much time at the desk, actually a harder chair will less features works best for me (I have a cranky back and work at my computer). It's basically a stiff secretary's chair, not a comfy executive one.

I have tried one...I didn't like that you were basically stuck in that one position forever.
