Any idea on what whould make a program start extremely slowly??

I have a fast computer 3 GHz p 4 hyperthreading blah blah, 768 DDR ram all that shit. (windows XP)

I have one particular program that starts up slow as hell, I'm talking like 5 min to start up, every other one starts up instantly.

I've already defraged and re installed and everything, any ideas?

Does anything you own work correctly?

First it was the jeep, then your unableness to get an erection, and now this! Gee Whiz.

It's only ONE program?

What is the cooling system like in your box. More than one fan? It could be a heat issue...

Assuming that you have plenty of memory, usually that situation is due to the program trying to access something and not being able to. These days, it's probably tryng to access the internet to beam across all your keypresses from the past week.

Have you removed external drives? Is the program looking for a dongle? When you last used the program to open a file was it on another machine over your network which is now not available? Could the program be looking for updates from its home website? These are each possible causes.

I'll shank you.

I'm about to trade the "I only have 55,000 miles on me but I'm going to start fuckin knocking on you" jeep in.

I'm going to either gat a tundra or a tacoma.

I dont think I've changed anything, nothing hardware I know.

It didnt used to be slow as shit to start up though.

Some programs just take a long time to load up. Especially anything from Adobe.
