I was under the impression that when Attachments are sent through Cyber-rights that they are not an issue unless you click on the artachement to open it up.

so when I open a email from a person I can read the text but the attachements are still "dormant"

is this correct?

thanks

depends on your email service. (im sure there are some crappy insecure ones out there) but correct, most won't allow malicious attachments to open up. but safe stuff like pictures will be viewable on some email clients.

I don't use cyberrights and so have no idea whether it provides a mail client or opens your mail in an existing email program.

Hush (and therefore EliteFitness; we have a deal with them to provide mail to our members) provides its own client program based on the Java concept of running in a "sandbox" that is isolated from the rest of your PC. Because they wrote their own, they have complete control over what happens to any attachments.

The thing that makes Outlook (otherwise known as "LOOK OUT!" or "OUTHOUSE") a security disaster is its "Preview Pane," which opens the damn attachments and gets you 0wn3d even without clicking to open them.

Thanks D :)

your the man
it appears that Cyber-Rights and Elite use the same "hush" technology

since I can send form Cyber to elitefitness.com and it get encrypted
