My training partner had blood work done after week 4 of his 8 week test/tren cycle. He is the same age as me, 40.

Creat 90 Norms 60-110

AST 83 norms 10-36 I do believe that AST is more muscle related but I am not sure.
ALT 54 norms 10-55
GGT 10 norms 0-50

The next three values converted to mg/dl from mmol/L
Cholesterol 181
HDL 11 .... crappy
LDL 160 considered in the high range

Chol/HDL ratio 15.7 !!! increased risk above 4.9

Triglycerides low at .57

PSA 4.8 norms 0-2.5 I hope I said the right thing when I mentioned that it is not uncommon for PSA to rise during a heavy cycle as the juice can cuase benign prostatic hypertrophy...

Hey bro. A while back a doc put me on Halo of all things. I had my liver values done for a different doc a few weeks later and my AST levels were up in fact over 100. I talked to my primary doc about it, the specialist who put me on the Halo and also a doc I was considering getting HRT through in a phone consult. All three docs thought the number(s) were nothing to be concerned about. In fact, the doc I was working on getting the HRT from, Dr. Lichten from Southfield Michigan, said that numbers like that are very common in people that work out strenuously with weights.

The cholesterol numbers should be expected with the AS. However, there's a ton of research and reports coming out now that indicate that there's a lot more to the heart disease and cholestrol story then currently meets the eye. There's nanobacteria, inflammation, etc., that are being considered the real culprits in heart disease now. Which would put a pinch on the pharmaceutical pigs cholesterol $$$. I have one rule of thumb when it comes to what pharm. companies and the AMA tell me, especially about cholesterol and heart disease, and it's don't believe a fucking word they say.

The PSA I have no comment on. I've had an inflamed prostate before that the OTC stuff completely got rid of but I never had any high PSA numbers at least that any doc informed me about.

Good luck bro.

Real Gains, want to hear some really scary numbers? I just got mine last week.
Cholesterol 150
HDL 9
LDL 100
Chol/HD: ratio 16.7

Test free 1065

AST 100
ALT 217 (Have Hep c)

Estradiol 44

Would love to hear comments regarding the chol/hdl ratio and elavated enzymes. everything is up.

I had a similar problem with the HDL/LDL ratio's being off. Mine ended up being.
HDL = 29
LDL = 154
Total Chol = 144
Ratio Chol/HDL = 5
Tri's were 54

Bloodwork was submitted 6 weeks post cycle. The cycle consisted of Test/Tren/Winstrol. I was also taking Armidex up until 3 weeks before the sample was given. Combine the Armidex with the Winny and the HDL's got a double whammy.

You're bros numbers are pretty damn scary in the Cholesterol department. My wife is freaking out on me because the doctor acted like this was the begining to the end. I have began corrective action with No-flush Niacin, Low fat/higher fiber and increased Omega 3's and Flax seed oil. I hope this fixes it.

My next cycle will not include Armidex or Winstrol after reviewing my blood work. I will be reverting to Nolva durring the cycle.

Brutus,

There's no way that your total cholesterol could be 144 when your LDL is 154 and HDL is 29.

When expressed as mg/dl:

Total cholesterol = HDL + LDL + trigs x 0.16 (Delong et al., JAMA 1986)

Total should be around 165.

Still the question remains, what does all this really mean? For someone that normally has these values is one thing, for someone whose values are influenced by AAS is another. The whole issue of what leads to CAD is complex and not simply a function of HDL and LDL per se.

"My wife is freaking out on me because the doctor acted like this was the begining to the end."

Sure if these were your normal year round values and you were a sedentary, heavy smoker who consumed a high saturated fat diet and no antioxidants.

It's possible that I remembered one of the values wrong. I am at work and don't have the paper work in front of me. Still thanks for the information. Yea, I think my wife is freaking for no reason as well. She just doesn't want me to start another cycle. With the preventative measures I am taking along with cardio 5 days a week in the morning, I am not overly worried. I am glad however that I had it checked and at least know to watch it in the future.
