It's cool if you want to call someone a scammer with a mod approval... but to offer a 1000 dollar reward for a manhunt... that's just flat out illegal... I can't have that on this site.

Zyg.. .the government can do any damn thing they want to do... isn't that apparent... what our government has never condoned was Vigilante justice... which is why we really can't approve a reward on the board...
HOWEVER, if someone were to offer a private reward, NOT on our board... well then... I suppose THAT wouldn't violate our board... and it would be that individual's choice... now wouldn't it.

He just offered a reward if somebody could help him recover his money, he didn't state or imply that there was to be any violence. Similar things have been done on this board before (mods even participated) and the situations were actually resolved through words, not violence, in the end. That is what I took his words to mean.
I think it's good to hold them accountable and for potential scammers to see what could happen.

You still might see such a thing in the rural areas of Missouri.... or not.........but not in a place as politically correct as Seattle....I can see Almighty now...sitting at a table on the sidewalk outside of a Starbucks....drinking a half-caf frothy latte thingy or whatever the hell those foo foo drinks are......thinking he got the best of somone or multiple someones.....SCAMMERS ARE THE LOWEST OF THE LOW......I dealt with the one I had about 7 years ago...by paying him a visit in Ft. Lauderdale.....NOT A GOOD IDEA....listen to C-Ditty here......legal ramifications out the yin-yang......I got my money back but the guy sued me for uh....damages incurred...so instead of being out $1100...I was out $3275.....man that sucked....Karma is a Bitch...and Karma IS FOR REAL.....that being said good luck everyone......:

Declaring a person a scammer is good community service and I appreciate it. However, the whole retribution thing really ought to be handled entirely in private.
I still can not believe it but really would stop discussing and do the investigation to find where he is and take it up with him. The more you discuss openly the more he will run and you will never find him and that is not withstanding the knowck on effe3ct it may have on the board if realised.

Here's what I picture.....some Billy Bob, Slingblade looking mofo, a newbie to the board....finding the Almighty.....beating his ass (or worse), and upon getting caught....stammering out..."Uh..Duh...I dun it cause my brother George said so", and the hammer falling on Elite.....this is something that should not be discussed in an open forum.....and take it from me, nothing good could come of this...peace

They can track down alot of shit if the $ is right. But, at the same time, threatening this asshole on the board is calling for trouble. Whoever mentioned jeapordizing the board is absolutely right. The 20/20's and 60 minute programs would be all over this. I agree he should pay, I got ripped one time last year so I know how it feels, but just be careful about public display's. BamBam
