Don't know much about bi-polar. One of the few mental illnesses I haven't experienced first hand.

He must have found some way to "manage" his condition to allow him to get where he's at today.

I have a close friend who is bi polar and manages w/out any meds. It can be done and it's done daily!
Hell Autism is controlled by natural methods. What is the medical community doing for autism besides causing it with vaccines? !
There is noticeable improvements with autistic kids when they are gluten and yeast free. MD's know squat about the diet of an autistic kid!

For the record; Many years ago, I was dx with severe Lupus and Lyme and was bed ridden for a long time. Guess what md's did for me? Nothing, but give me meds that had me on my ass for months! They had NO IDEA how to treat me!
This is when I decided to heal naturally and then got into the field 4 yrs ago. And guess what; with natural healing, diet changes, identifying foods I was allergic too etc, I am FULLY functional! I run my own business, work out 3 days week and have a FULL social life!
My MD refers his lupus patients to me!
I've not had a lupus flare in a long time and chronic lyme which md's say is INCURABLE, well I don't have it anymore.
SO to those who doubt natural healing; get sick and if Md's can't help you (and most will only give you band-aid therapy), then you will be finding your nearest ND!!!
Allopathic medicine has it's purpose, but to knock natural healing is just ignorance! truly! MD's who think they are God's pretty much Natural healing until they actually realize, it works!

No, but you cannot treat all maladies with meds either.
Both natural and some allopathic can work well together. I've yet to see an antidepressant cure depression, yet I've seen total diet change, exercise and balancing out body chemistry cure it!
Humans are lazy and just want a magic pill. There is none! It's work to be and stay well.
