Coffee as a aphrodesiac??

Right, i understand this may sound quite ridiculous to many people but i am wondering if coffee (sp?) works as a aphrodesiac for other people apart from me. If i drink a few cups of coffee i feel rather randy for about a hour or so. The effect of this is stronger if my stomach is basically empty. It is not the uncontrollable sexual response as on a AAS cycle, but it is noticable and it is certainly not my imagining it.

Are the any others who have this effect?

I only drink it every 3-4 days so the koffie alone does not explain why i am randy all the time.

you know, now that the board is so slow I rarely randomly click on threads as much and instead just fume over my job.

as for coffee making me horny - this morning I was in the kitchen and when nobody was looking, I poured myself a nice piping hot cup of kona rock crack jackie box (something like that, the real name eludes me) and then again, making sure nobody was there to walk in on my randy-making session, I tugged open my shorts and poured the hot java all over my genitals.
let me tell you, that was so not a turn on, and now I think I might have some sort of burn... hurting... ow.

Right, here is a idea i have just had. Caffiene increases concentration ability for some time after drinking it. Correct? So perhaps with me (and one other person who admitted to it in a PM) it makes me able to fantasise sexually in a more clear and better way.

Another possbility, if it stimulates the andrenals then maybe it also makes a bit of extra Test release since the adrenals in women make a bit of T as well.

But who knows......maybe i am just a big female walking sex hormone.

I'm 90% sure that coffee (and I'd assume it is just the caffiene) raises dopamine levels.
they have shown that people that drink coffee are less likely to commit suicide.

that would also explain the dependancy and why people get pissy when they don't get it if they are regular drinkers.

if that is the case, then the people that are more suceptible to getting addicted to caffiene would also exhibit that same trait in all other things that raise dopamine levels (GHB, smoking, any number of drugs, sex, etc)

and the change in dopamine levels would also relate to why regular coffee drinkers have a much lower rate of Parkinson's - which is treated by regulated dopamine

Wow scrappy that is quite interesting. I have not heard ever that caffiene affects dopamine release in the brain.

Now that you say this i do feel a greater sense of "well being" for some time after drinking it. It makes good sense that a person that is frequently sexual normally would be rather likely to feel randy if they have also this temporarily higher sense of feeling well.

Nature Boy you are quite correct. Koffie breath is awful. Women have complained about the koffie breath rather often.....so i just kiss them somewhere else.

I'm not sure that it raises the levels - just recall that it has an effect on them.
I would assume that it likely instead block the reuptake of it so more stays present in the system longer.
much in the way zoloft and prozac work on seratonin

aah, so it works a bit like a SSRI you mean? (a DRI in this case) Then i suppose that caffiene would be a terrible choice for schizophrenics as they have too much dopamine normally.
