I didn't read the story, but remember the post and am familiar with Lovecraft. Several movies and a role-playing game have even been spawned from Lovecraft novels.

Code..Have you ever read Brian Lumbley? He's into the cthulu legendry also. He even has a few early books based in that realm before he started up on the Necroscope stuff.
