CNN really sucks

Remember the ship fire in New York harbour? I read it on the BBC around 10, including comments from local residents. It wasn't posted on CNN till noon (after they said it wasn't a terrorist act).

And now there's no news on WHO's global health alert for a deadly pneumonia strain, 150 new cases in the past week. The latest victim apparently contracted it in Singapore, showed symptoms while he was in New York, and was quarantined in Frankfurt on his way back to Singapore.

CNN really sucks. Are they censoring their news already?

Hmm.. yeah, I don't much like any of the news stations (though I wake up every morning to MSNBC, and the Drudge Roport (literally..my tv is my alarm ;P)

But it's rather frightening, this epidemic. All of these current events seem so biblical, and probably are. :mix: :(

It's not just CNN, all the news organizations are doing a poor job of covering this story. This outbreak is very alarming to many in the medical community. CDC is even advising people who travel to avoid the countries affected if at all possible.

I will say this for CNN, they do have the story on the front page of their web site now.

cnn is pure shit

Frackal, notice how every single form of media that releases information to the public is owned and controlled by a PRIVATE CORPORATION? And do the private corporations of America give a rat's ass about the average American? Hell no, unless they stop buying their products. Which also includes their news programs, because the more the viewing public watches a television show, the more money that the television stations can charge their advertisers.

After world war 1 there was a huge flu epidemic that went around the world in weeks (speculation). Amazingly it killed more people than world war 1. Sad, hopefully it will not happen.

It should be noted that alot of these networks owned, or co-owned by the same companies.

There needs to be a large civilian run "rogue" news company to spread different and unbiased opinions. This will not happen.

Unless there was private funding.

True!
After the war was over, world-wide typhoid vaccination was carried out on populations in order "to protect people from disease-ridden soldiers returning from the battlefields.
The result was the 50 million deaths now deviously attributed to the Spanish Flu ...

The world now needs to be concerned with this lethal, previously unknown atypical pneumonia that is extremely contagious, and has been spreading across the world like a motherfucker. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the CDC in Atlanta have issued major worldwide warnings about this.
