clomid & antidepressants

guys..I did about 300mg/week of test cyp(from a clinic) and did this for 14 weeks..first "cycle" and I know its modest..nevertheless I acquired some clomid for post cycle and thought that though the amt. of test was modest,clomid is cheap and I'd try it(also wanted to see about large loads..well after a week after my last shot I started taking the clomid at 1/day..I know this is early,but I've read that this would be ok and I wanted to eliminate some bloat pronto..now I have read that clomid can make you feel depressed(crying and shit) and I take 200mg or so of serzone daily(an anit-depressant that I have been on for 3 years)...so I wanted to know if anyone here has any experience with "mixing" clomid and ADs....my sex drive has plummeted and i don't even feel like jerkin' it ..additionally I am having trouble getting erect and obviouslt this is cause for concern...these effects are simliar to experinces I've had with "ephedra dick"(which I have eliminated form my consumption) and these effects are also similar to the side effects I have experienced with other anti-depressants..I've tried various ADs over the years and am familiar with the sexual side effects of many of these ADs..however serzone doesnt bother me and this is why I have taken it for years..so I'm curious if the combination of clomids depressive type actions and my serzone is giving my system and overload of serotonin which could then be perhaps causing my libido problems..I'd apprecaite any input guys..anybody out ther have any experinces with ADs in general and/or clomid's depressive actions?

actually the so called cycle was for 10 weeks..so after 14 IM shots of 200mg test cyp,should I have to worry about "jump-starting" the HPT axis?

Your natural test levels are still gonna be low despite your measley dose. You need to take clomid, but more than 50mgs a day. You need to up it to at least 100mgs a day for 7-10 days and then take 50mgs for another week. My .02

my wife is on serzone 250 twice a day and it hasn't affected her sex drive. you said 200mg or so daily so play with the doseage up it 100mgs a day for a week and see if that counteracts the clomid.
Actually low test can cause depression in men and pms massively in women.

thanks guys for the interest...I have been taking serzone for three plus years..I've had no sexual side effects from this AD(hence I've settled w/this drug and have used it long term)..so everything was ticking along just fine..well i asked the owner of my gym about "athletic knowledgeable" doctor's to go see,and he gave me a location,an anitaging clinic<..so I go there and get my blood work...my work was great,I just turned 39 and my test was 693,my estradiol was the lowest the doc's ever seen,prolactin was low,pretty much great results across the board(thnaks to clean diet and exercise)..anyhow,I still pressured him for some test and he relented,though he told me I wouldn't notice much...so I do the Im shots for 10 weeks,14 shots in all of 200my cyp..noticed some good gains,increased appetite,and later bloat and water retetnion(about in the 9th weeks)....my sexual appetite/performance remained the same..i.e...I didn't feel any boost sexaully from the exogenous test..things were pretty much the same...anyhow,so I get my clomid in and take one per day for about a week,beginning a week after my last shot...well almost right off I've noticed my sex drive and perfromance has nose-dived..like I mnetioned before its like ephedra dick..difficulty keeping hard,weak orgasms,etc,etc...and this feeling isn't becuase of some temporary tiredness or whatever....I feel like something is fucking with me..is it the clomid combined with the serzone?

It is because your natural test levels are low and you're not taking enough clomid!

I don't know where everyone gets this 'more is better' type of thinking. I've been told by a few veterans that ONE clomid a day for 21 days is all you need. And anymore is a waste.

I'm pretty sure that there's scientific thinking behind clomid dosing of more than 50mgs. a day. I don't know particulars, but that's what I've been told by people on this board.
