my university is the one giving the exam...They are making me take this CLEP class for them to except my Marketing credits from another school.

If it works out and the exams are not as tough as I'm thinking they are as of now, I'll take Managment Clep exam also.

Hey C-ditty I read another post were you talked about corespondence classes and online classes....Those are not Clep classes right?

No. I wouldn't classify them as correspondance courses, as they award you for knowledge you already possess. CLEP or College Level Examination Program as it is referred to at many universities. To my knowledge... CLEP isn't really a "class" -- but rather a test that will give you credit... kind of like "testing out" of lower level Spanish classes with a twist...

With CLEP, if you are an avid American History buff, you can take the CLEP tests and get 3-4 of their courses without having to sit through a course that you would already be a master at. You could ring up 9-12 credits toward college right away.

A downside on this is how the courses show up on your transcript. Typically, if you pass... it will show up as something like "Credit by Examination" with some sort of grade as "CR" -- meaning, it is labeled that you didn't take the course, and it doesn't ADD to your GPA.

Frack makes a good point... if you plan on having these credits count toward a 4-year university or a more accredited one, you'll want to make sure the credits will transfer to that particular degree program... because, what good are 9-12 credits if you can't bring them along with you... :)

Tell her flex123 from EF said Congrats:) just kidding....she won't remember me.

Ask her if she studied like crazy before she took the test...as specificly for me Clint:) I need to know if I'm walking into a disastor or if its just a tough test.

I'm going to study like mad anyways...but if I know its extreme then i'll be more prepared.

It was a test for Reading 100...the community college associated with the university here. We are really proud of her!!! She studies a lot but said that the test was not all that hard (neither is the course).

Citruscide: You dating my sister? lololololol
