CLA vs Tonalin (Fonz)

Anyone use both or had good results on one vs the other?

drveejay, Tonalin is just the Brand name for a specific CLA. Its specific ingredients are:

Ingredients: Eash softgel contains: Tonalin, 1000mg (which yields 700 mg of conjugated linoleic acid); Tonalin proprietary blend of CLA, oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, linoleic acid, gelatin, glycerin, caramel, carob, titanium dioxide, FD&C Red #40 & Blue #1.

So, you get 700mg of CLA from it. It's like Optimum's CLA One(r), "1000 mg of CLA One (r) that yields 750 mg total CLA and 700 mg of active isomers."

Or, the best CLA for the best price (if you take gold card plus the 50% second bottle), GNC's Pro Performance, "Pro Performance® CLA is 100% CLA derived from safflower seeds, a premium dietary source. Each serving contains 1000 mg of CLA."

The GNC gels are much larger than the Optimum gels. I've never seen the Tonalins. Oh, BTW, they're all derived from Safflower Seeds (all 3 of these ones, atleast).

Oh, BTW, yes studies have confirmed it works in humans. No, I'm not going to go find them for you. Someone might, though.

GNC got rid of the buy one get one 50% off. Also the price dropped 10-40% on all GNC products, but they are not that good of a deal anymore. I would try dps nutrition on the net, I think CLA is cheaper on there.

I have tried both the optimum and pro performance CLA, didn't notice a difference with either one. I am now taking CLA with GLA and ALA and it seems to be working, but it may be the DNP also.

Also for anyone who shops at GNC the 20% with the Gold Card is only good Dec 1-7 and then starting Jan 1st the Gold Card is good for 10% off all the time and there will be no more 20% off.

I've used Optimum's CLA One and it didn't do all that much for me. I'll stick to R-ALA. My buddy takes 500mg 3 x a day of the GNC brand and swears by it.
