CKD results without working out

Well, I suppose one is better than none. If he does it, his workout needs to be intense and right before he begins his carbup.
 
There's no point at all unless he workouts more than once a week. Sounds like he just wants the benefits of a refeed - but unless he hits the weights really hard he won't acheive anything on a CKD.

The CKD is based upon the premise of restoring muscle glycogen that is used up during the week (and this can only be done through exercise).

Why does he want to switch??
 
I agree with stryc-9 . why switch .... and why only work out 1 day. after the carb up it will take twice as long if he is not lifting and cardio.....
