CKD or Eating "Clean"

I am currently doing the CKD diet. Would I get the same results by just eating clean along with my workout regimen? Clean as in low carbs but incorporating some complex carbs such as oatmeal or sweet potatoes?

Essentially, doing the CKD but adding these "good carbs" and possibly not doing the carb-up?

if you are currently doing a true keto type diet you might want to decrease the fat and increase the protein as well. I have had success going 60p 20f 20c. Strength is good, bf is dropping...

I can only speak from my experience, but I prefer just eating clean as opposed to the CDK. IMHO, this is also a much healthier diet than CDK. I have also found this diet much easier to maintain for extended periods. And because you have to eat a lot of these types of food to get your daily calorie needs, there's no hunger involved. Here is what has been working very well for me:

Eat only clean foods like oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice, vegetables, lean meats (tuna, chicken, turkey, etc..), protein shakes, flax oil, fish oil. I'll also throw in some skim milk in moderation. I eat 6 small meals every day. I avoid eating fats and carbs in the same meal, but always include some protein. With my body, it's all about keeping my blood sugar levels steady, and as a result, controlling insulin response.

I lean out quite rapidly when I stick to eating like this. I also believe my muscles stay fuller (and even grow while losing body fat) when eating like this, as compared to the CDK type diet.

That would be fine: I woul recommend you alter the isocaloric ratios 33/33/33 and go for a simple low-carb diet=>
40%protein/20%carbs/40% fat

proteins=lean proteins like chicken breasts/egg whites/tuna etc.
carbs=veggies, oatmeal, yams, sweet potatoes, beans
fats=all efa's like olive oil, walnut oil, sesamese seed oil, flaxseed oil, MCT oil

have your calories at weight x 12.......

Thanks everyone for the speedy responses!:)

I still haven't decided which route to take. I may stick with the CKD for awhile longer and then evolve into the "clean" eating lifestyle. I still have much to learn!

I am a 27 yr old female mother of 2. My body fat is at about 32% right now. I'd like to lower my body fat to around 22% or so. Not sure how long this will take me. I rotate NYC and ECA and take ALA...500mg during my carb-ups. I also try to take a one-a-day multi-vitamin when I can remember...:(

My routine plan has been:
Monday-lower body
Tues-upper body
Wed OR Thurs-20-30 min cardio
Friday-depletion workout (full body)
Friday night-Sat night- Carb-up
Sun-back to low carb.

I'm open to suggestions of any sort...I really really want to lower my body fat!

WED and THUR you should be doing 30-45min cardio

Friday-depletion workout (full body)
Friday night-Sat night- Carb-up
only ONE day carb up, so pick either sat or sunday

Sun-back to low carb.
sunday is when you should start your MONDAY workout; considering your carb-up was on sat

I would say you need to try Yohimburn for the trouble spots, it's amazing what Yohimburn does for women. I really feel it's such a revolutionary product.

Overall, I recommend sticking to CKD for at least 12 weeks before you just drop the diet. Adding things like Yohimburn can greatly increase results. In addition, if you're only in the first few weeks of the diet (2-5) you need to give it more time.
