CKD-day 1- muscles hurt before they burn.

When I was lifting yesterday, which was CDK day 1. My muscles began to hurt like hell, before they started to burn. It's hard to describe how they felt, but it was like that achy feeling you get when you have the flu.

Is this something to be expected for the first couple of days?
 
If this persists and becomes a problem, you could try a TKD - targeted ketogenic diet. Basically just means carbs pre- and post-workout to boost energy, but little otherwise.

Could be...try adding maybe 20-30g of carbs to your pre-workout drink and see if the pain goes away.
