New member
anyone know the return policy for Circuit City?

I just bought a horrible DVD and watched it but I wanna return it.

Can I not return it now cause I already opened it and viewed it?

Refunds and Returns

We want to make sure you're completely satisfied with anything you buy from us. Try it out for 30 days. If something's not right or you've simply changed your mind, please return it within that time so we can either exchange it or give you your money back. Since computer technology changes so quickly, we can only offer a 14-day tryout on PCs and related merchandise. For a full refund of a product, we'll need you to return the box, and packaging too.

Software, Music, Movies and Games
If you've already opened software, music, a movie or a game we can only exchange it for the same title.

FUCK! now I'm stuck with this trash movie.

What movie is it?

The Movie is: glengarry glen ross

This flick has great actors in it but is just horrible. Actors in this flick are Spacey, Pacino, Lemmon and others...

My bad...did I say this movie sucked?

I meant this is the best movie that has ever been made in the existence of movie making.

Anyone wanna buy this flick from me? Let me remind you again...This movie is GREAT!!!!

It will be hard for me to give it up for the bargain price of $14.99, but I'll do that just for you.

Let me know if you are interested in this once in a life-time bargain.

flex123, just a suggestion. Take it back to them and tell them it wont work on your player, and that you've read on dvd websites that other people with the same player are having the same problem. If they don't give in, ask them if you can try another copy. Then tell them it didn't work and you either want a refund, or a different movie.

Means how Circuit City has followed the national trend and fired all salespeople on commision and replaced them with minimum wage sales clerks in the name of corporate americe, I would think they could more than afford it!

#1 - Use a shrink-wrapper to reshrink wrap it

or

#2 - Say it doesnt work on your DVD player. They will do one of 2 things: A- Give you another copy of that movie or B- Give you store credit

If you assume A, you now have a SEALED DVD you can just bring in later and trade in for something else, or if you still have the receipt, now return for $$$

try selling it on ebay.

i am constantly AMAZED at the junk i sell there.

I never thought of the it doesn't play on my dvd player trick...I might have my woman do this for me cause I'm a pussy and I can't lie for my life.

even if they give me the same copy I'll just goto another circuit city in the area and exchange it for a different one.

I think they even have a no receipt no worry policy:)

Yes, now they have that policy

Yeah I read online that they have computer files of purchases. So now my idea is more complicated.

I was planning on doing what someone already suggested. I was thinking of going in and saying it didn't play on my dvd player and if only possible exchance for the same title. But now the new one would be in its packaging.

So then I would go down acouple towns to the other Circuit city and exchange that one for a different title.

The problem is that they will see that I already returned it for the same title and not allow me to exchange it again for a different one.

The problem of them having the receipt saying I already returned it ruins the plan:(

any more ideas? Or should I just go for the original plan and if all else fails I just look like a Smuck?

No, that won't work. Not cuz of the computer, but because when u exchange, they OPEn the package, show to you that it works and THEN give it to you.

My question is: Where does one go to get a package RE-SEALED? What do you look for in the yellow pages?

-= nav =-

are you sure they open it up?
