No, you were rude, mostly by exhibiting a lack of courtesy. The fact that you were discourteous to me gave me that 'damn good reason'. You then became truly impertinent and started spamming someone's thread as if to drive up your post-count in feigned innocence and indignation along with some childish name-calling.

If you have any further issues on this matter, use the PM system rather than cluttering threads with it.
