just thought i would ask if anyone else felt that liddell pussed out tonight against horn. 5 out of the 6 opps liddell had to ground and pound horn he did not. affraid of what horn may do to him on the ground? i think so. chuck liddell is my favorite ufc figther, untill this fight i did not know about jeremy horn. i think liddell looked more determined, or affraid, tonight then most of his fights. horn took 6 or 7 of chuck's hard shots, fell, but no follow up from chuck. i understand feeling comfortable with a certain part of your game, but being affraid time and time again to get on the ground, bullshit. whats the deal? was chuck just suprised to knock someone down over and over and the man getting back up for more. when was the last time someone took that kind of punishment from chuck and kept coming? not only did jeremy put up a great fight but i think he is the real stud here. i haven't seen that kind of damage on chuck in a while.

I wouldn't call it "pussed out". I'd call it strategy. And apparently it worked. As Tuc said, Chuck is a stand-up fighter where Horn prefers the ground technique. Horn tried numerous times to take him down and Chuck avoided it, everytime.

Chucks a pretty decent ground fighter, but he, as long as everyone else knows, is a top notch stand-up fighter. He went with his strength and avoided his weakness.

chuck has a knockout punch's, which people give him credit in his standup game. actually i dont think his strandup is THAT great, he is given too much credit for his standup because he has knockout punch's.

yea so he probably played his game right, avoid your weak spots. and horn has a strong ground game. chuck doesnt need to prove that by going to the ground with horn and defending him, wrong move. avoid it if possible and use your strengths.

chuck is in no way a pussy , he played his game which was standup , look how many times he fucked horn up . until that fight horn never been knocked down , chucked managed to do it like 5 or 6 times . pussy i think not , not to mention he defended jeremy when he would try to shoot , he pretty much shut him down.

agree here too. but horn stood up with chuck for three and a half rounds, chuck still did not knock out horn. chuck can't be satisfied with that preformance. chuck did not even try to go into jeremy's world. jeremt fought with heart chuck fought scared. did you see the look on chuck's face before the fight, scared. also, i haven't seen that kind of damange of chuck's face in a long time. and that came from someone who is not a stand up fighter.
