Chrysin

Wondering if anyone has investigated or used this with any success. I know bb'ers used it or tried to as a supplement to boost test, by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme. The problem was and is it is poorly absorbed into the bloostream and did not give the result expected.

However, I have been doing some research into this and in a pilot study it seems when combined with piperine(a pepper extract), reductions in serum estrogen(estradiol)and increases in total and free test result in 30 days.

A study in the Journal of Steroid and Biochemical Molecular Biology compares chrysin and 10 other flavoniods to an aromatase inhibiting drug(aminoglutethimide). Chrysin was not only shown to be the most potent of these armatase inhibitors, but was found to be similar in effectiveness to the armotase-inhibiting drug.

Gave chrysin a shot once, but negligable effects. I can see where piperine may help as it's used in many supplements to improve bio-availability.

I am on a newsgroup with folks on TRT. I brought this up, and got a couple positive responses. It seems the brand by LEF(which does have piperine) does work, and definitely lowered their E levels.
