Yes, and it's seriously going overboard. I'm doing a university research paper that is due in two days, consulting, registering a company and negotiating with other companies... all at the same time. I am nearly fucked, but not quite so. If only I was completely fucked, I could half-way relax...

Digital watermark detection could be used for internet monitoring to detect hidden data in images. I bet the NSA/echelon/ect. uses it. I'm working for the darkside on this one, but my research paper isn't too consequential.
