I heard on the news this morning that he can now move some of his fingers and toes. Eventually he might even walk again.

that's amazing Hearing that was a good start to my day.

he donates a ton of money to the study of MS and ALS since they are related and progress in those would assist people that have the same condition as him.
(the mylin (sp?) sheath around the nerve is damaged, causing it to not work properly - I think it is basically insulation and the charge doesn't move across the nerve correctly without it)

I saw on the news his left arm raising, but someone was standing right there, so I guess they were moving it for his as part of his therapy. I knew he moved something, but I wasn't sure what it was, and the entire arms seemed like a pretty big step.

I heard he wanted to walk before his 50th birthday, well, that time has come but he is estatic that he can actually just move his apendages alittle.

I hope for him that he does one day walk again.

I guess it was about 2 years ago when he was first able to move a finger. Since that time his son has been filming his progress and has just released a documenty spaning the last 2 years. He will be filming his fathers progreess until the day he walks.

Supposedly a biotech company in another country (i think australia or something) found a way to make working stem cells w/o getting them from embryos. Supposedly by 2004 they will be ready to market them. That could help Reeves out.
