Cholesterol question for Dr. JMW

Dr. JMW:

I read your excellent post on controlling Cholesterol during an extended cycle as well as your total mg per week reccomendations & GH usage.

My question is if I take Nolvadex, say 20mg /day throughout an extended cycle - say 12 -14 weeks will it counteract my GH use?? I am currently using Nutropin AQ, 2 I.U. per day - 5 on, 2 off (I know you reccomend 6 on - but financially and for travel reasons 5 on works best for me). I have read multiple posts that Nolva reduces Igf-1, would that decrease the effectiveness of my GH?? Is there a dosing schedule where Novla will protet cholesterol profiles and not decrease Igf-1??

I do not normally recommend using nolva during an aromatizing cycle. Go with arimidex or aromasin. From blood test results, I do not see any changes in lipid profiles. Use Nolva as part of your PCT though.

I paln on using aromasin during the cycle & nolva in the PCT. I will also incorporat your other reccomendations: policosanol etc. into the cycle.

Your help is much appreciated!! Anything else I can do to keep a normal lipid profile during the cycle??

YES. Keep your testosterone dosing moderate (400-500mg weekly total). I have found that clients using excessive amounts of testosterone (even with aromatase inhibitors) also have a lousy lipid profile. Lastly, diet. high protein, moderate clean carb, low fat diet will keep lipid profile normal. clean carbs: green veggies, oatmeal, brown rice, beans/legumes. Clean fats: Pam spray, peanut oil, olive oil.

I already keep my test dosages low - around replacement levels.

Most of the time I rely on GH & non aromatizing stuffl like anavar. Ihave no desire to a big bloated slob. I just like to slow aging and look good with a little extra strength.
