Chicago NPC Ironman show

Hoteacher and I went to this show last weekend. Her trainer and I wanted her to get an idea of some of the goods and bads, since she plans to do an NPC show in Phili in June. We were all very disappointed in the show, as far as fbb's were concerned. The woman that her trainers friend trained lost to a very unimpressive competitor, that ended up taking the overall. I'll post a link to get some opinions. The woman in the Blue took her class and the show. The woman in the Red is who we went to see, and who looked better in our opinions than any competitor. The winner actually had a ton of fat on her legs and ass. She looked worse than most of the figure girls, yet she took the fbb show? After this show, (another Ronnie Altier pathetic NPC show) I will never suggest a woman competes in a show run by these promoters.

The woman in red looked pretty ripped. Sometimes you get marked down for that! 20% softer these days!

my personal take on it.....

I agree with you that the girl in the red is obviously leaner,very ripped; and although I am far from an expert on bodybuilding contests, I guess judging is just subjective. The girl in the red should probably contact the judges and find out the criteria (if she didn't already). The girl in the blue looks a lot more muscular and fuller, and maybe these particular judges wanted that kind of 'look'. I don't know, but just my take on the pics. The girl in the red is super lean, no arguing there, but personally, I like the girl in the blue's look better, she looks healthier, nourished, and fuller, and not at all depleted, and she sports a lot more muscle, but that's just my opinion, I am FAR from a BB judge, lol.....so if you disagree, it's fine, but thats just my opinion, if the judging criteria were for a fuller, softer look, then that would probably explain it.......the problem most of my friends who BB have is you just never know what the hell judges are looking for and you are at the mercy of someone's opinion on what the best physique is a lot of times, and opinions are like asshole's, we've all got a different one, lol. Maybe the criteria should made more clear to competirors, I don't know the first thing aout that, but i just personally like a fuller, more muscular, healthier, softer looking female physique, so I can understand the decision, and possibly if the girl in the red knew what the judges wanted, maybe she would have come in a little fuller, I like a thicker/denser look though.....just my thoughts.

"20%" is still a bit of a load of crap right now, but also the girl in red looks really good relative to the others, but is not "ridiculously" lean compared to "typical" FBB winners. She has nice leanness & muscle definition and she's not freaky big. I might suggest she work on more width in the shoulders / wider lats but that doesnt'' really look like her build anyway.

I'll put pics of the winners from the last show in May. Big difference! Up close, the girl in red was the only one that looked like a bodybuilder. The girl in blue had almost no leg definition, and she had cellulite on her ass!

I believe the lightweight won the overall. Much better competition than this show.
