Chest/Tri workout tonight

Well, I upped my WS speed bench from 185 to 195 and increased the sets from 8 to 9...

Warmup bar and 135x12

195 x 3 for 9 sets with 30 seconds in between sets and I tried to do the reps as QUICKLY as possible... I know no set went over 3 seconds... but some went under.

I then did 225 x 10 after that was all said and done...

I then tried to do some incline (as it has been my project over the last few weeks to slowly get my shoulder ready for it) --

I did 135 x 10, and that felt good for OnCE... so went up and did 155 x 10... good as well... I did 185x6 -- which is the MOST weight I've done on Incline since my second shoulder injury (basically because I haven't TRIED incline since then, Aug 99).

Now I know that doing tris on chest day is sometimes ill advised, but I find I get a GREAT workout on them if I hit them HEAVY on chest day... (and then light on my shoulder workout day).

Close Grip (middle finger on smooth part of bar)
135x10, 185x8, 205x7, 225x5

Dumbbell French Press
45's x 8, 50's x 5, 50's x 4

Cable pulldowns
3 sets x10,x5, x5... (don't know what weight it was on...)

Sounds pretty good, I've never attempted any type of WS training, so I think after next month I'm going to try it. Just curious how you guys like it. I already read the stick post about WS training and what it helps, but do you find yourself getting good strength gains compared to 'normal' training? Also, good weight on that stuff C :), I always do close grip benching, sometimes even reverse grip, but I never tried them on incline, I think ill incorporate those into my routine sometime too. Do you feel those hit the triceps harder, or just differently? :) BTW, good job again!

Sounds liek you'll be busy tonight. I am definitely going to change up the routine again and I just may pick up a speed benching routine. Does that mean that i will make a friend too? lol Good shit man. It feels good when someone asks instead of insulting or trying to correct.

Chest day for me too today. I will do.

DB incline......5 sets
Flat press.....5 sets
medicine ball ab workout.....3 sets
speed bag/heavy bag for 3 minutes........10 sets

It always turns into the shoulder burner from hell but it's all worth it. :) Just thought I woul dthrow my routine in there. lol
 
Heh... looks like a plan PH... I have legs tonight actually... I'll post that up after I do it... I workout LATE night... it's really the timei have to go. :)
