This is an amazing shot. This came from a Rig Manager for Global Marine Drilling in St. Johns, Newfoundland. They actually have to divert the path of these things away from the rig by towing them with ships! Anyway, in this particular case the water was calm & the sun was almost directly overhead so that the diver was able to get into the water and click this pic. They estimated the weight at 300,000,000 tons.

yikes!....im too stupid tfo figure out how he got the top and bottom of the iceberg into the picture :(

AWESOME PIC

They actually used that in one of those motivational pictures...

THE ESSENCE OF IMAGINATION
"What we can easily see is only a small percentage of what is possible. Imagination is having the vision to see what is just below the surface; to picture that which is essential, but invisible to the eye."

Wow. It's those kinds of images that make you stand back and think......."like how big was the freezer that thing came out of?"

am i looking at some mountain or your avitar?

for someone i think is a total bitch you got a killer body.

Well, MadB, for someone whom I think is a total dickweed, you got a hot body....I told you before your body was nice

That picture is both beautiful and scary at the same time. Imagine being underwater ans seeing that up close wow.

And MommaKin I like your new avatar too.:D

That is a kick ass shot. I read a book by Dean Koontz I think it was, about an iceberg.........gonna have to go find it now to get the name

That picture IS fake there's no way that light can penetrate that far down in the ocean to generate that kind of glimmer off that ice, especially if the sun was supposedly directly overhead..if it's directly overhead, how would it be able to even reflect off of the part directly underneath the tip, and all the way at the bottom? i understand Water sends light flying in all directions, but not concentrated enough to get that sort of reflection even IF light could penetrate that deep..

Still a neat pic though, but not real.

Yu guys, I am sad just now, on the news a few mins ago they said Ray and Mike M both died within a 24 hour period.

I will miss them...... they gave us some great training techniques and inspiration....

What they did in life....will echoe in eternity.

its sooo fake there is now way the top and bottom could be in that photo. they would have to be extremely far away and there is no way they could be that far and have the sun bright enough. if you think they tilted the camera downwards than the top would be deformed and not straight on.
