cheat meal??

You're the one with the pro body builder personal trainer right? Again he is wrong if he tells you not to have a cheat day/meal. You need cheat days/meals everyonce in a while to boost your metabolism.. If not your metabolism is going to get used on how many cals you are taken in and it's going to slowdown/stop fat burning.. If your personal trainer is giving you all these bad ideas I'd really suggest finding a new one. I'm not saying go all balls to the wall on a cheat day. I'm talking about upping carbs to about 500 cals. Like sweet potatoes, brown rice, more oatmeal, even though bread isn't great for cutting, wheat bread is fine on a cheat day or meal. I like to treat myself every 2 weeks with fat free ice cream for a cheat day. Also if you are not taking in much fat you'll want to add more fat on the cheat day too, like steak, beef, more whole eggs and so on.

Anthrax just posted a great article on leptin, and how it relates to
"cheat days"

disipline is great, but you need to have a cheat day/meal.
 
since september 2001 i havent cheated allot i mean before the fall like September2000-June2001 I had cheats days like so many ,sometimes It was long term cheat days...But since september2001 i am proud i havent cheated like that maybe every 4-9weeks around that period i whould have a cheat day but i did take december off and basically ate allot of CARBS such as bagels and bread,cereal,oatmeal Protein-Milk,ham,steak,Some Chinese food but you know it felt good .. Now that im back on tract i look foward to a few day cheat days such as every 4-9weeks around their also if u call CHINESE FOOD CHICKEN AND BROCOLLI or MIx Veggies a normalmeal than hell it felt good eating that feeling like it was a cheat.....But Cheat Days to me is a day where i can go all out not really care about what i eat as long as i know im dedicated not to continue the cheat day more than 1-2days depending how many days u want to cheat.....

How many of you on low carb diets such as myself have weekeneds as a carbload day and thats good too:) SWEET POTATOE with MARSMALLOWS YUMMMMMMMMMMMM <333333333


oh and what i eat when i cheat i start off in da AM- with 5-6cinnamin raisin bagels with cream cheese in 1hr i do this sometimes Lunch-Chinese food After School Cereal and milk basically thats it i just love bagels:)

SO CHEAT ITS GOOD FOR YOU DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just hope when im back in WPB,Florida that i wont cheat like a mofo..to many fast food places,literally one on everyblock almost and the buffets OMG:/

man i bet you love waking up everyday and thinking im gonna eat 6meals of chickena nd brown rice, cant wait! man u can eat a cheat its not gonna kill ur body like u think.

newayz on my cheats i dont really worry about the nutriton, last time i had cinnamon toast crunch!
 
Diamond: you may be dedicated now to the extreme, but one day something will happen and your life will take a turn for the worst. If you get hit by bad times and break your diet then you will not be able to get back on track for ages because you never cheat. Not a flame bro, just concerned.
 
Once a week or twice a week while dieting hard?

I'm about 8 weeks out from a show, and I had a BEAUTIFUL cheat day a couple days ago. When I cheat, I don't hold back. I started off with (and this was just breakfast) a McDonald's Big Breakfast and 2 Sausage & Egg McMuffins. Throughout the day I had: lots of string cheese, a sirloin steak sandwich with gravy sauce on it, chcocolate ice cream, fruit popsicles, Andy Capp's Spicy Potato Fries, Fried Cream Cheese Wonton Puffs, Beef Fried Rice, Hot & Sour Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, Sweet & Sour Pork, Roast Beef Hash, gobs of peanut butter, bagels, and stir-fry seafood. It was HEAVEN! I don't feel guilty at all about it, either. I gained about 6 lbs. the next day, but I looked full and vascular, and my strength went through the roof for my workout. I just may have one more before showtime... :D

i agree with diamond..
maybe not never..but if you are not on a low carb diet all week, then there is no need really. I have 4 days in my week where i have below 50 carbs a day, but because i have 3 high carb days a week, i dont feel the need to cheat on bad foods.

a refeed is different to gorging yourself on bad, crap food
