That is one HELL of a rich husband. Even after all that, that's only 27% of his estate.

Nothing will change for her. She'll still live the life she's used to. Blame the dumbass moron who MARRIED a woman when he knew how much he was worth. You don't see Gene Simmons getting married do u? Man is smart.

Gene Simmons is married.

i think she probably should have received more. it seems that they made the money together, since a professor in a uni isnt going to have a steroidal bank account, and really, it doesnt matter if she cheated or not - you should get about half just citing irreconcilable differences - even in taht difference is being bored.

and why assume that she is going to piss the money away? just because shes a cheater doesnt mean she doesnt know how to do a balance sheet. shes probably smarter than your president

Are you sure you are not some female alter?

THERE IS NO WAY SUCH AN INTELLIGENT ARGUEMENT COULD HAVE POSSIBLY COME FROM A MAN!

;)

PS - Thanks to all the sillies for the red karma. Does my heart good to know that I hit a nerve! :)

Cheating on your spouse, though may be considered by some to be a character flaw (not saying it isn't silly boys) has nothing to do with the ability to parent OR run a country.

ONE WORD:

JFK

Oh wait - he was in possession of the proper urinary tract so that makes it ok.

*slaps forehead*

DOH! I keep forgetting that caveat.

Let's see -- Cheating, Lying, etc. on your vows.

That doesn't tell something about your character? You yourself have stated many times that men who do that are despicable dogs, worthless cretins and vile creatures from the 9th gates of hell.

You want these demons raising kids now?

Hippo-Crit!

Disgusting that family divorce cases don't treat people as equals but based upon stereotypes regarding gender. Never knew laws could be explicitly written as sexist.

Boy are they in for a surprise when they get their first male/male or female/female divorce case. What they gonna do then when their standard gender rules can't apply?

LOL breaking your marital vows hardly constitutes being a demon. Unless of course you are a woman.

And here is a newsflash family divorce/custody cases whether you like it or not ARE FUCKING BIASED!

Hmmmmmmmmm I wonder how this guy made his money? You dont think there would have been just a hint of lying/cheating/stealing on a corporate/business level would there have been?

Come on. Please dont argue like you have never lived in the real world.

Nobody murdered anyone here. She cheated so she got fucked. She only got a quarter of the assets (probably spent twice that just to get it) as opposed to her rightful half. I dont see what all the hubbub is about.

"The couple met in 1978 when Howard Sosin was an assistant professor at Columbia University. At the time, she was married to another man and working in retail.

Howard Sosin served as the president and chief operating officer of AIG Financial Products until 1993 when he left the company. Following litigation, he received $182 million from AIG."

He weren't no fricking millionare when they met.

He knew she was married to another man when they met.

The marriage was a longtime union. She spent MOST of her life with him, raising HIS children.

What does the fact that she was unfaithful have to do with her mothering abilities? Men have been historically less than faithful and no one EVER makes a correlation between their parenting abilities and their inability to keep their pants zipped.

PUH-LEASE.

let's think this through. When they met...

HE is a PhD professor at an Ivy League school. SHE works in retail. WHo do you think created the product that AIG paid $180M for?

Is he devoid of common sense for getting involved with a married woman? YUP.

Is she a cheating whore? YUP.

In other news....

I am amused at your ability to project your own demons on to cases entirely unrelated to your own experience. She cheated on him numerous times, yet you defend her "mothering" abilities.

Above all else, parents are role models. A parent has no greater duty than to set an example for their children. She has failed miserably at this paramount task.

If there were any justice in the divorce courts, they'd return her to the floor of the Gap at $8.50 an hour, where he found her.

Well according to that article he sued AIG for the 180million. I wonder what the merits of that case were?

In business, AIG is known as the death star. We work in a field where AIG operates...though we try to keep our distance.

AIG is the death star because they bring you in really close, they steal all your technology, and then they throw you back out in space.

AIG settled a lawsuit with this guy for some death star type behavior. Exactly what that has to do with his wife is anyone's guess.
