Cheat Days?

hey whats going on guys i wanted to know what you guys thought of cheat days on your diet and if you do have them about how often do you guys cheat because i've heard its good for your body every couple weeks or once a month do just have an all out cheat day eat whatever you want so i wanted to get some feedback from you guys on what you thought
 
The more serious a bobybuilder is the less he will cheat. My personal belief is I can eat whatever I want, and as much as I want, once a week. BUT, I don't eat that much shit to begin with. So maybe some ice cream or a Coke.
 
I'd slit my mothers throat for a slice of pizza right now...
 
I almost never cheat but I was at a restaurant the other day and they serve this gourmet pizza and I ordered one. I swear to God after the first bite I had a fucking boner.
 
I used to be SUPER strict when it came to my diet. All I ever wanted to do was be really lean. However, after extended periods of time with such a strict diet and never really getting to be as lean as I ever wanted, I just said to hell with it. I still eat very clean, and I won't eat shitty food (lunch cakes, doughnuts, etc). I do eat pretty much whatever I want though. If I feel like a bowl of Raisin Bran, I have it. If I want that extra peice of chicken, I have it. If I'd like to have a hamburger, I have it but on wheat toast.



I keep track of all my calories, and I do cardio 7 days a week so I don't think its that big of a deal. I'm not competeing or anything though either. It really just comes down to your goals and what you wanna do.
 
I am super strict when it comes to cutting (one cheat meal every month or so) but since i just started my first cycle last week (yay!) and have started bulking i have become a little bit lax and am allowing myself one cheat meal each week.
 
Im cheating as we speak. Im eating nacho's. I justified it because of the whole grain chip and low fat cheese.lol. I allow myself one cheat meal a week. If I didnt I would hate to diet and never atain my goals.
 
When im cutting I will have a cheat day 1 time max per week. Like other guys have said, I dont eat much bullshit anyway so its not that difficult for me to not just all out gorge on garbage. I try to limit it to a cheat "meal" but my wife somehow always ends up getting me to eat trash throughout the day hehe.

I honestly HAVE to have a cheat day/meal... dieting SUCKS. I would go crazy if I wasnt able to taste some good, nasty food every now and again. Theres only so much oatmeal and tunafish and egg whites I can stand :jenscat
 
One cheat day per week is totally acceptable, unless you have really strict goals or are competing.... a cheat day helps you keep your sanity when you're otherwise eating clean daily... plus, if I'm not mistaken, even strict diets like Body Opus allow for 1 or 2 days per week of "carb-up" days.... I don't think it necessarily advocates pizza and ice cream, but you get the idea.... I used to think that if I didn't eat 100% clean all the time, I would become a fat tub and never gain muscle.... I discovered that by having that occasional cheat meal, I not only gained size, I didn't really gain that much fat.... if you're in-tune with your body, eventually you'll figure out what you can and can't eat
 
One cheat day a week(Sunday),which usually entails 2 shitty meals,one fast food,and one of pizza at night.Been on 6 days/1 day diet routine for 4 years now pretty much(Except for vacations,then its indulgance mostly)

+2, 1 meal per week,,, and I make sure its after shoulder day,,because I think my shoulders suck,,lol,,its usually pizza..we have the best pizza here...
 
I am a hard gainer so i have to very drastically increase my cals in order to add size. I tried eating clean for years, but I have discovered through trial and error`that i need to do a little cheating every couple of days in order to accomplish this. I know everyone's metabolism is different, but this is what works for me.
 
Everybody needs to cheat a little every once in a while to mantain sanity. I don't take a cheat day or even cheat meals, I take a few cheat snacks throughout the wk. For me a cheat snack is a handful of chips or half a slice of pizza. If I do this 2-3x/wk then it keeps all cravings at bay and my mind off of food that I shouldn't be eating.
 
cheat day for me is a night out drinking a few shots, maybe some wendy spicy chicken burgers with no mayo/cheese
