Eat big says it's nice and peaceful.

Eat big says he went to school there.

Eat big says be prepared for everything to take longer in the South.

Eat big says Charleston could be the most beautiful city on the East Coast.

yeah - that's what dullboy heard - and if not mistaken, charleston and savannah were the only 2 southern cities not destroyed in the civil war.

dullboy heard that charleston looks a little like bermuda.

Dullyboy heard right. I was just about to say, if you do anything, visit Ft. Sumpter and watch the sun set.

Eat big says Richmond would be very beautiful if it wasn't burned to the ground after the Civil War.

I live in charleston, alot of historical visuals, old forts, downtown, old market. very nice place to live. hope ya have a good time!!

Lots of beautiful women, and great food. If you're there for awhile head out to Folly beach, it will remind you of an old beach resort, not over developed.

Yes, it does a little bit.....I didn't find *a lot* to do, personally....they are pretty serious when it comes to the Civil War - I really don't think they know they lost... :lmao:

Damn yankees!! ;)

You should go to a party where they dress in 1800's style dress. There were even some ladies there who wore authentic dresses from the 1800's that were passed down through their family. The main thing I remember is how god awful hot it was in that suit, and how hot several of the women looked in their corsets. :p

People in Charleston do take their history very serious.

I was born in Savannah and the vast majority of my family lives there. Charleston is a much bigger town. Charleston or CharlesTown is a much bigger tourist trap. There is alot more $$$ in Charleston. Savannah, GA has alot of black folks and has many poor parts of town. Savannah is a much poorer town then Charleston. Infact Skidaway Island is where black folks go to the beach whereas Tybee Island is where the white folks go

Or Hilton Head for the very rich black and white folks.

Savannah is kewl if you stick around the riverwalk or go to Thunderbolt to head to the beach.

Go roll down Cloverdale and you might not think Savannah is so kewl
My parents end up in a not so nice part when they booked a place online. They bolted out of there pretty fast to a better part of town.

In Charleston everyone goes to the Park where the Ashley river and the Cooper river meet and there's Fort Sumpter off the coast where the civil war started...
The first Baptist Church started in America is in that parks like 1671 or something crazy old like that. That whole neighborhood is loaded with 10+ million dollar houses that are 300 years old. Savannah is more revolutionary war history and I believe the first Methodist church in America. There's a status of Martin Luther in the historical district , which is the largest in the country.

I had some pictures of Charlestown online I think

There's no "p" in "Sumter".

I spelled it that way cause I knew you would be there to correct it for me.

I am anal retentive and obsessive with spelling but I knew you would be there to support me. :rose:
