Please tell me your not riding his jock too bro. :p

You are being riddiculous.

BTW, atkins doesn't exactly have 5% bodyfat, but his techniques work to reduce bodyfat.

Also, have you ever seen a pic of Dan Duchane? He looks like the nerdy guy everyone picked on in highschool, but his knowledge on anabolics was far beyond anyone's.

It is good to practice what you preach, but it isn't necessarily the determining factor if you know anything or not.

The other day I was talking to this 60year old+ guy who put up 3plates on bench easilly but didn't know that juice was carbohydrates since it has sugars in it. I sure the hell wouldn't take diet advice from this guy but I wouldn't mind hearing his training methods as i've never seen anyone put up 3plates at age of 60+ (I am sure he used to do way more in his prime).

True. For awhile there everyone raved about animal and his knowledge, until a pic of him went around the boards where he was actually 150 13%bf. People still stuck by him, to me it lessens his credibility. But he also always talked about how jacked and ripped up he was.

I'd guess 90% of the coaches in any professional sport never made it to the top level in their sport. I don't see how that affects their ability to maximize someone else's potential.

Good point bro.

Animal's body may be a joke to many bodybuilders (besides, he isn't even a bodybuilder nor ever claimed to be) but I am sure everyone on this board has benefited from his knowledge of steroids and other supplements. It still doesn't change the fact that he is a jackass though. He probably doesn't know shit about training but he was still the first to come up with fina kits, so does this mean he knows nothing?

Dude animal said he had the most ripped legs around, spiderwebbed in fact. He lied to everyone, then his pic came out.

I'm not platinum and can't post a pic or I would. In a few more post I will be able to add an avatar. BTW, I'm not huge myself but then again I'm not claiming to be a bodybuilding guru either brother.

Those that can't teach......it's that simple...Charles did the best with what he had...which wasn't to shabby....imo....he is training a buddy of mine right now....and to be honest I don't see what is so special about the techniques themselves...but the intensity level is something entirely different.....it's one thing to say you are hardcore in the gym....but when you have someone riding you hard until you physically CAN NOT go on....that's is what taking to the limits is all about....:D

So are you saying that he is the Bobby Knight of trainers?

Good..you proved my point - you are TALLER and have LESS lbm.

I do have one other question though:

Do you think honestly think that outward appearance is any indication of knowledge??

If so you are a complete idiot.

Fantastic point Corn.....take a look at the owner of the Gold's Gym I used to train at......former IFBB pro.....looks like a bucket of shit now.....but does that mean he doesn't know what he is talking about???? I like to think not...since he was the sole reason I won the first 4 shows I entered....diet advice....cycling advice...and taught me how to not OVERTRAIN....Incidentally who thinks 210 at 9% is big...unless your 4'11"...
