Litig8r187 is correct lawyers who know the DA don't brag about it. My lawyer actually knows the DA and I didn't find out about it until well after he became my golfing buddy because they don't brag about things like that because they don't want to ruin any rapport they have built. The only reason I even know that is because we seen him at a very prestigious golf course that I pulled some strings to get us on and they talked and bullshitted for about 30min because they haven't "gotten together" in awhile and he fukin made us late for our tee-time.

Your 1st mistake was ever cutting a deal to begin with. I know getting busted sucks, and you want the problem to go away as quickly as possible, but by fessing up you just built a case against yourself that probably wouldn't have held up in court in the 1st place. In fact, if they really had a solid case against you they'd have arrested you on the spot, searched your house, miranda, etc and not wasted time by setting up a meeting with you. They did this on purpose to make you shit your pants for 24 hrs so you'd be good and ready to give them an admission of guilt when you showed up the next day. I know telling you this doesn't help you now, but you totally screwed yourself. If you would've denied any knowledge of such a delivery, the burden of proof would've been on them and their case against you would've likely been fairly weak. A court appointed public defender could've probably gotten you probation/no felony if you had just kept your mouth shut. Hell, if you kept quiet they may have never even charged you at all since you're so low on the steroid totem pole. The cops/DEA/customs are not your friends-never were-never will be. In fact they are lying pieces of shit that are only out to fuck you over big time. They play by their own set of rules and they know all the tricks on how to get some honor student to fuck himself. Going to trial may take longer and cost more $$$, but it's always a better option than whatever these assholes will offer you. Next time you get caught doing something stupid please deny it 100%. I don't care if you get caught with a bottle of Cypionate with your name engraved on it in your pants pocket-deny! deny! deny! You have no clue how it got there no matter what-then ask for a lawyer. I don't care if the cops say you're going to prison to get assraped by Bubba for 10 years(which they will say to scare you even if it's not true) deny! deny! deny! OK, I've beaten this dead horse enough.
Anyway, try to get the diversion deal your attorney is going for and pray that the cops don't bring up some bullshit conspiracy charge against you in the future. It's highly unlikely they will, but it could happen if they thought they could get you to cooperate with them again to nail a big fish that you may know. If you don't know a big fish, that helps, and avoid any contact with any known drug dealers of any kind. Don't order gear to your house again either. I hate hearing stories like this. If you don't know what to say or do when you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar, you really shouldn't be stealing cookies in the first place.
Good luck in court-and wear the color blue-it's supposed to make you look innocent. If you think I'm bullshitting, do a google search on OJ's trial or Scott Petersen's trial or Winona Ryder's trial-they all wore blue in court for this reason.

Sorry about the long time no post, but heres a little update!!!
the DA and the detective agreed to dismiss the case, thank god, but only under a few logistical terms. 1)probation for a year 2) 4 drug tests and 3) 80 hours of community service. i was never even asked to plea in front of a judge or the DA, hell i don't even know the judges name, and no fines and or court cost were issued!!!! the detective in charge of my case was a great deal of help in the entire ordeal, and even though i still hate cops, this one helped convince the DA to basically let me off the hook!!! according to my lawyer this all keeps my record completley clear, and since i was never arrested, a background check will show up completely clear, no arrest, no charges, no nothing!!! and to everyone who says i should have denied the hell out of the delivery, the poss. law clearly states that you don't have to actually poss. anything, only have control of it!!! the box with my name on it was more than enough to prove control, and i would've had to fight that battle in a federal court rather than a general sessions court. and everybody knows that federal court is not where you want to be when you dont have any money. i got sloppy and got screwed but nobody can convince me that fessin up was stupid cause that f***in DEA guy was gonna make my life a livin hell in a federal court........ instead i was basically able to escape with a slap on the wrist with the help of the local detective.
im just glad this entire ordeal is behind me and im glad that my lawyer and i were able to help my local detective see that steroid laws are mostly bs!!!! cause me using steroids is a big threat to society and individual civil liberty and all!!!! yeah sure it is!!!

Hindsight's 20/20 guys! If anybody has ever had federal agents, with guns by side, knock on your door, holding a box of steroids with your name on it, then i would be interested to see just how many of you would tell them to f*ck off. If i would have told them that, they would have utilized the search warrant they already had (the detective let me look at my file and the search warrant that was issued the day before thay came to my house) and then i would've been in a bigger world of sh*t! Truth is, if they didn't have a case agianst me, then they never would have come to the house in the first place. The DEA agent and the US Customs official did not fly to nashville, tn from D.C., to just let me tell them to f*ck off! i went from four federal felony chrages to a simple poss. misdemeanor, which was completely retired! No arrest, (definitley would have been arrested had they searched the house), No record (definitely would not have gotten a retirement in a federal court), and No trip to Ohio! (Which is where i would have had to appear in front of a federal judge) Would of, Could of, Should of!!! Live by the gun, Die by the gun!!! It's behind me now and i'm movin on with the rest of my life. i appreciate all the support i have recieved from you guys, and for all the guys who were not so supportive, maybe one day you'll get your chance to tell federal agents to f*ck off when they show up at your door with your gear!!
