CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE - What does it mean to you?

The beauty of Barak ObCarter's racket is that all he says is "Change" and hopes people will be gullible enough to fill-in the blank with exactly what they want to hear.

Its clever, but surely to god a few thinking people will call him out on this one and wake-up the gullible masses.
The only change I need to see is the end of Bush economic policy, the end of $4/gallon gas and the end of the Iraq War. Anything else is gravy.

Obama's energy policy offers no change. Here is why:

His tax plan will punish upstart renewable energy firms.

His tax plan punishes oil companies who are not responsible for high oil prices. Taking their profits now will leave a deficit when the oil companies need the money. US oil companies have to compete with foriegn oil corporations who get subsidized by foreign governments (namely China, Arab countries and China). Punishing US oil companies only puts them at a disadvantage when they compete with international oil companies.

His policy towards renewable energy, namely ethanol, has strained US corn prices and it is directly responsible for the increase we see in food prices.

His policy towards nuclear energy, coal and oil has resulted in no new nuclear plants, limited coal and oil extraction which has forced the US to rely on foreign sources for oil and coal.

I could go on. The #1 problem with the USA right now is that we are not exploiting our domestic resources, we are not fostering enough investment in critical renewable energy platforms, and we rely too much on foreigners for our energy.

Obama will not bring change that is good.

Here's your change
