anyone know anything about caterpillars? i've seen four in here tonight, they're about 2 inches long, grey and fuzzy and they have what appears to be a bunch of weird antenii sticking out of their heads...

okay, my life has truly reached the category of pathetic....

ugh... wish i could... i have the overactive imagination of a 8 year old, i keep wondering if these caterpillars are going to crawl up my nose while i'm sleeping...

caterpillars usually wouldn't crawl up your nose. now other bugs like spiders, beetles, ants, roaches, etc may crawl in your ear or mouth while you are sleeping. but i wouldn't worry about caterpillars

I read somewhere there that 20% of the population has a roach living in their ear.

Caterpillars are harmless. They are also not parasitic to mammals. If they walk on you they’ll probably just sit there and enjoy the warmth. Probably go into whatever sleep state a bug can have. Since fish can sleep I would only assume that the insects, slightly higher on the evolution scale, would sleep as well.

They do not carry nearly as much disease as flies. They are usually on plants and walking through dirt. All of which are not a problem to people.

Think of it this way. Would you be concerned if it were a butteryfly?
