Cat eating Bamboo plant leaves

Is this dangerous? Ive moved the plant numerous times to try and get it somewhere she cant get to, but lets face it, cats go wherever the F&^%# they want. Especially when she's home alone all day.

Its now on top of the fridge but apparently this hasen't been an effective deterrant. Instead of leaves, it has little leafy nubs. It's very sad.

How do you know it's the cat eating them?

It could be someone coming in while you are gone and making a salad with them. See, you were blaming the cat when it was probably just the psychopath that lives next door. Have you noticed any salad dressing missing?

Now don't you feel better knowing that your cat is innocent?

get a squirt gun and leave the plant within easy reach of the cat when you are home. then go into GI Jane mode and watch that plant while you are within range. when the cat goes to it, squirt the hell out of it. it'll learn.

if that doesn't work after a while, then run up and kick that cat as hard as you can across the room. that usually teaches them, and it's what i normally do first anyway.

Since I feel bad now, I will say that it won't kill the plant. I have a bamboo plant that I keep forgetting to water that is living very well. As for the cat, I don't know if it's bad for them, but I doubt it. There are different sprays that you can spray on plants that will keep pets away, check your local garden store.

Now I am going to go sit by myself in the corner.

well, go grocery shopping and pick up some fresh lunchmeat.

don't forget to pick up some pork too. and sausage. something real juicy when hot and cooked ya know.
