cardio while bulking?

hi im 5'8 and 150 lbs and i am trying to bulk up right now, but the problem is i am developing a good amount of fat in my stomach area which bothers me a lot... (gaining muscle too tho :)) will doing cardio ever so often help to keep the fat down while still gaining leanm uscle? if so when how long and how fast should i be running... (i workout every other day) thanks
 
YES !

mild cardio can even benefit your bulking process. nothing wrong with 20 minute sessions directly after weight training.
 
k so i see conflicting opinions here... first of all its not my goal to get huge or anything, my goal is just to get a decent size while maintaining moderately low body fat... (10 percent maybe) so shuold i do cardio or not?
 
Moderate intensity and duration cardio, yes. Aerobic exercise will have a negative effect on putting on size, but, it will keep you in better condition, help deter some of the delayed onset muscle soreness, help with removal of lactic acid and other metabolites derived from intense weight training, and keep your heart in good shape. I personally put off cardio when bulking, and I regret it, I got way too out of contest shape and did probably triple the amount of cardio in contest phase to get back in shape. Hope this helps.
