Cardio when ON and Bulking ???

Is there a good reason for doing cardio when on and bulking ?

Will a raised metabolism help build muscle quicker ?????
 
Yes.............plain and simple.............build muscle QUICKER? Umm, no.....but the benefits far outweigh the negatives..........
 
How much cardio would you recommend ? I was thinking of running about 1.5 miles every couple of days. IS THIS ENOUGH ??
 
Sounds OK, maybe 25mins at 70-80% Max HR every other day.

I do 3 cardio's a week:

40 min = 10mins on 4 different machines - exhausted on each 'set'

25mins then machine thigh workout - I'm rehabing my knees!

25mins then Abs & Calves (weak body parts that I'm bringing up)

Also 6 mins cardio begining and end of each workout as warm-up/down.
 
I am currently doing 45min 3x a week. It's good for the heart and over-all physical shape and healthiness.
 
I do 35 minutes every morning...........bulk or cut............could be why the scale doesnt move much, but eating so late at night makes me feel like I have to do it.......
 
It depends on how much body fat you are willing to live with. If you want to keep it lower I'd say 3x a week for 40mins.
 
I think long distant running is stupid and catabolic, although high intensity cardio like hills on a stepmill 2 times a week will help boost your apetite. Eat a lot before and after and you can gain muscle. I do it in the morning after eating a lot of carbs so that i use that for energy.
