Doing cardio helps spare muscle mass and cuts fat at the same time. If you want to be a successful bodybuilder, you have to compromise between doing cardio to cut fat, and not doing cardio to preserve testosterone. Testosterone goes down the most when you overtrain. Do your cardio, but don't train so hard that you turn off testosterone production.
