When on a cycle is it the additional muscle mass that will help lose the fat or is the steroids themselves? Also, when on a cycle, what is the best number of minutes to do of cardio each day to burn fat but not lose muscle?
 
Low carb, low fat diet burns fat. The drugs just help out more. The more muscle you have, the more fat you will be able to burn. Is your goal to just remain on the lean side or to get cut? To remain on the lean side do 4-5 days for 30 minutes on stationary bike or treadmill. To cut (and assuming you are dieting) do 5-6 days for 45 minutes twice a day.
