CARBS at NIGHT??

I posted this on the diet board, but I'll throw it up here also. If my first meal is at 6:00am and I workout at about 5:30pm, leaving my post workout shake at about 7:00pm. Since my postworkout shake is late in the evening, should I keep it carb free or go with the malto anyway?

If you're bulking I would eat carbs but if you're cutting I would go with a lean protein source and some greens.....

Im cutting right now. I always go with Isopure while cutting and am wondering if 75g of jsut Isopure is good enough for post workout even if I am cutting.

Bro, if you on a low carb diet then its ok to have you PW meal late. Right after you train you should have a drink with something
like dextrose with around 75gm of carbs, Then a 1-11/2 later have the same amount of carbs but with solid food. Make sure to take your R-ALA with each meal.

Yup, I agree with gettingbetter-- and 2thick.

I always consume Carbs within 2 hours or less after my workout-- it is considered the "anabolic window" where your muscles are depleted with glyogen/ and fuel reserves-- perfect time to eat bro. Ever wonder why after your post-workout meal you feel soo much more energized/better?

If you are working out hard, you need some carbs post workout. Chocolate isopure is money. :)

your first post workout carb intake should be immediately after you finish your last set.

half hour later is when you want to eat your first post workout meal which should have slightly higher than ususal carbs.

any meal after that you can eat very low carb and it'll be fine.
