CArbing up for a show

I plan on competing in the middleweight division. I'm just wondering, if my diet continues as is, I'll be 175. If your supposed to start carbing up three days out, that will put me over. If I wait until after the weigh in, will the carbs have time to properly fill me out before the show the next day. I don't want to compete at the bottom end of light heavy. Thanks

why is the "weight" important. IF you come in shredded for your devission, that's awesome.

if you're at the bottom of the class, but more cut than the other guys...awesome.
 
I want to be as big as possible in the lightest weight division possible. The middleweight division is up to 176. If i can hover around that bodyweight and then carb up to 180-83,
I'll be pretty big for that div. It makes sense to me but since it's my first contest I could be wrong.Lemme know.

You are right Chief! You will be dieting until you reach 175? Did you calculate in Water loss before the carb up? I weighed 163 five days before the show, but after water depleating, sodium deplete, and then carb loading I came in full and hard as a rock at 152lbs...I thought I was screwed...I can help you with this part,,,
 
Columbo is completely correct. Know that you want to be shredded but you want to be one of the biggest in your division. It only makes sense. So come in around 174 get weighed and then eat and let the carbs hit and you will be riding easy. Stay shredded though, you don't want to lose that at all.

Anyway to calculate how much water your holding before you deplete. How many days out do u start that and how. Also how many days out to carb up and what did you eat?

I hope you could guide me on the dehidratation process. I have only competed once but didn't know how to use diuretics the right way. So I only used one pill of lasix a day, 5 days before and stop drinking water 2 days before contest. Probably I don't need to tell you that I had still a lot of water. So I would thank your advice.
