I go with high GI foods for the first 8 hours or so as the body is really primed for absorbing glucose in the initial stages of the carb-up period. I'll eat jelly beans and rockets (dextrose candies) - and plain white bagels with syrup *drools*
Then I begin to switch over to lower GI choices - like oatmeal and whole wheat bagels. The only thing I try to avoid is fat - and I also stay away from too much fructose (as it preferentially fills liver glycogen and makes getting back into ketosis that much harder).
